Aikido is a Japanese, natural movement martial art, to co-ordinate mind and body for health, self-defence, and self-development. The principle is to avoid attack, blend with your attackers movement, and establish control. Aikido was founded by Osensei Morihei Ueshiba. Dublin University Aikido Club was established in 1973, and recognised in 1974. We are affiliated to the Irish Aikido Federation (Ir.A.F.), which oversees the quality and technical level of teaching, as well as conducting gradings and holding monthly weekend courses.

Beginners are welcome all year! Further information on Classes and Advice / FAQ at these links.
